Dimensions that lie
A designer works off drawings that never matched the building in the first place.
Purpose. Mission. And what our future looks like.

The problem
Small gaps in existing-building information become expensive decisions later in a project.
A designer works off drawings that never matched the building in the first place.
A team flies out to re-measure something that should already have been captured once, properly.
A renovation runs into it mid-build. Now the schedule and the budget both move.
Purpose
Why we are here at all
We exist not to make more models, but to make models people can decide from.
Mission
Reliable building information creates better outcomes across the project lifecycle.
Less rework
01Fewer site visits
02Schedules that hold
03Right Data, Everytime.

Our story
I started Plan8 in 2022. The industry was growing fast and BIM was everywhere: in proposals, on job postings, in every client conversation. But very few people understood what it actually meant. BIM was being treated as software to buy, not a way of thinking about buildings.
What I kept seeing was models built without intent. Nobody asked what the model was for or what decision it needed to support. Without intent, attention to detail slips. Without detail, the model can’t be trusted, and every decision built on it gets delayed.
Multiply that across thousands of projects and you get an industry whose productivity has barely moved in 70 years, while almost every other industry has been reshaped by better information. BIM was supposed to change that by making decisions faster. Done badly, it slows them down.
That’s the problem Plan8 exists to fix. Our mission is simple: get the building data right. Every time.
In practice, that means we understand what the model needs to do before we model anything. We go deep on the details that matter, and we don’t pretend to know what the point cloud doesn’t show. We take on the work many teams avoid: old buildings, messy scans, tight timelines, and scopes where a missed detail costs real money.
From Nagpur, India, we work with architects, engineers and contractors around the world, on projects for Hilton, FARO, Cinépolis and the Government of Maharashtra, among others. We don’t measure ourselves by size. We measure ourselves by how rarely our work needs a second look.
